You may see that some graphic elements are yet to be retouched, but I am on it.
The background will remain fixed, regardless. It is the only way to use the wallpaper switching feature in a decent way. Hence I appreciate input about HW backgrounds.
Switching was previously a problem since the script loaded all backgrounds on first site load making this heavy. Not any more. Once a background is selected, via the very small thumbnails, it will load once and only that file. Settings are controlled by Cookies, so if you clear them, re-select.
Please feel free to point to nice HW-inspired backgrounds for usage. Default will always be the #082851 blue, common with HWSHOTS and originally proposed by Moe, hex courtesy of JAL-18. I also think it is an original colour from ingame menu or related to the games somehow.
The Theme used has been upgraded to 1.7.5 and WP has been upgraded to 2.2 so its time to do something about this. Probably I will have to reset everything to default since I made several Theme modifications to achieve this look of today.

Issues:
I am perfectly aware of layout issues in IE 6 (and 7 amazingly!). Have concentrated on graphics which, with some exception, are done, within the WP theme. I still lack a decent banner and I will replace those stars in lists for other, more relevant, items.
Thing is, I concentrated on getting layout done in Firefox and just forgot about IE. Who cares? I do! (I will, eventually…)

No, we haven’t got a huge crowd signing up here to fill this site with Homeworld items. Nor will we ever. We? Yes, I am more than one person here. In fact: TWO…;)
I needed a new concept, a new approach. A simpler yet more cunning form of presentation. Understand that www.hwaccess.net will still be very much alive, however, it will be remade in to a hosting portal, with dedicated content for that.
The final concept for site is not entirely ready. I have organized dedicated RSS feeds to Relic Forums, the Homeworld related parts, and will add some more to that.
The main intention is to draw attention to Homeworld and Homeworld related resources in different ways.

I am slowly getting somewhere regarding the layout and colours of it. Fortunately for me Vistered Little Theme showed up while browsing Wordpress Extend. Even if it also seems to be among top downloads, which I am not overly enthusiastic about, it fits the Homeworld graphic profile perfectly, with rounded borders and clear distinct page elements. With a little modding of it, doing as I speak, it will look great.
The feature to select different backgrounds is very nifty, but as the ambitious guy I am, I take my stake at big backgrounds that support 1600×1200 resolution.
